Outst和ing Stewards of America’s Waters (OSAW) honors deserving organizations in the hydropower 和 marine energy industry for projects that exhibit exemplary operational, 教育, 历史, 休闲, or environmental enhancement 和 stewardship.

水电’s proven track record of providing a domestic source of clean, 可再生, 和 reliable electricity for more than 125 years is no accident. It has taken hard work, perseverance, creativity, innovation, 和 a collaborative spirit. 今天, these same values are also driving a new generation of hydropower projects that harness the power of oceans, 潮汐, man-made conduits 和 other waterways, in addition to rivers.

How the OSAW Process Works

The 2023 application window is open. Applications are due by 6月13日
The award ceremony will take place at 全球最大网赌正规平台’s 2023 干净的水流 in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 10-13.

资格

Specific projects, 项目, activities or events pertaining to hydropower in the United States or Canada that meet the three category criteria.
An application for a specific accomplishment may be submitted in only one category; however, an applicant may submit applications for multiple different accomplishments.
An accomplishment, or the intended effect or result of an accomplishment, must have occurred or have been substantially realized in 2022.

OSAW’s History

In 1994, the National 水电 Association (全球最大网赌正规平台) created the Hydro Achievement 奖 to recognize organizations 和 projects committed to excellence in the development 和 operation of hydropower. In 1999, 全球最大网赌正规平台 added the Outst和ing Stewardship of America’s Rivers (OSAR) Report to profile the best examples of hydropower’s ability to generate clean, 可再生, reliable 和 affordable electricity while protecting the riverine ecosystem.

Beginning in 2007, these two recognition 项目 were merged to more effectively provide recognition to deserving organizations 和 to reflect the changing nature of the hydropower industry, particularly the fact that hydropower can be used in various waterways. The new award program is called the Outst和ing Stewards of America’s Waters (OSAW).
